In this full-time, onsite role within a hospital environment, you will collaborate closely with skilled Physical Therapists to assist patients in their rehabilitation journeys. Key Responsibilities

• Implement tailored treatment plans devised by licensed Physical Therapists, ensuring alignment with each patient's rehabilitation goals.
• Assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises, facilitating manual therapy, and training them in functional mobility techniques to enhance recovery.
• Utilize modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy effectively, following established protocols to assess patient reactions.
• Monitor patient progress throughout treatment sessions, accurately documenting changes and reporting findings to the supervising Physical Therapist for evaluation.
• Provide education to patients regarding proper injury prevention techniques and develop customized home exercise programs that they can follow post-treatment.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring the safeguarding of patient information.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to create a coordinated approach to patient care, addressing all aspects of the patient's health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Our client focus is on fostering recovery in various age groups, from young athletes to seniors, tailoring each treatment plan to meet their unique physical needs. You will gain invaluable experience in addressing diverse rehabilitation challenges that require specialization and patience.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of New Jersey.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required, providing a strong foundation in the principles of physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in outpatient orthopedic environments; however, recent graduates with relevant clinical rotation experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated proficiency in performing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and educating patients about their treatment plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that prioritize a patient-centered approach to care.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems will be considered an advantage, enhancing patient data management.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
