Broadway Proper Senior Living is seeking an outstanding Dining Room Manager to lead our Front-of-House (FOH) dining team in a large senior living community in Tucson, Arizona.

Job Summary

The Dining Room Manager oversees the daily operations of the dining room, ensuring residents receive exceptional, timely, and personalized service. This position provides hands-on leadership to the Front-of-House team, maintains high hospitality standards, partners closely with the Executive Chef, Dining Services Director, and culinary team, and ensures the overall dining experience reflects Broadway Proper’s commitment to resident satisfaction, dignity, safety, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, hands-on leadership presence during every meal period.
• Partner with the Executive Chef, Dining Services Director, and culinary team to ensure smooth, efficient meal service.
• Create and maintain a welcoming, hospitality-forward, restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
• Conduct regular table visits and engage with residents to ensure satisfaction with their meals and service.
• Address resident concerns and service issues promptly, professionally, and with a service-first mindset.
• Communicate menu changes, substitutions, shortages, and resident feedback to the appropriate team members.
• Monitor food presentation, temperature, portioning, timeliness, and the overall dining experience.
• Identify recurring resident concerns and communicate trends and opportunities for improvement to leadership.
• Coordinate daily room-service practices and ensure established procedures are consistently followed.
• Support special events, celebrations, and resident dining programs.
• Assist with dining room and kitchen setup, organization, and cleaning before and after meal service.
• Lead by example through professionalism, dependability, accountability, and exceptional hospitality.
• Train, coach, mentor, and support dining room staff on policies, procedures, service standards, and best practices.
• Establish clear expectations for attendance, appearance, professionalism, teamwork, and resident service.
• Create and manage dining room schedules and staff assignments as directed.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and team huddles to communicate priorities, menu updates, assignments, and service expectations.
• Monitor staff performance throughout meal service and provide timely, constructive coaching when expectations are not met.
• Foster a positive, respectful, accountable, and values-driven team culture.
• Encourage collaboration and effective communication between the dining room, culinary team, and other community departments.
• Ensure dining room staff follow food safety, sanitation, infection-control, and community policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and safety concerns promptly according to community policy.
• Participate in required training and maintain applicable certifications.
• Promote a clean, organized, and safe dining environment for residents, team members, and guests.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in restaurant management, hospitality, senior living, healthcare dining, or food-service leadership preferred.
• Supervisory experience in senior living preferred.
• A minimum of two years of full-table-service experience.
• Strong hospitality, customer-service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented during busy or challenging meal periods.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Food-handler certification, ServSafe certification, or other applicable certifications as required by state and local regulations.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes weekends and holidays as required.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check.
• Ability to obtain an Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
