Summary of Role This role is intended for our Essex Junction site Fab 9, a 200mm semiconductor manufacturing facility. As a Maintenance Technician you will monitor, sustain, and improve the equipment and/or processes in the assigned area, working in partnership with production team members and area engineers. Responsibilities Monitor equipment performance, schedule, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on assigned tool sets. Use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment related issues. Communicate updates on equipment status to the Lead Tech and/or Engineer. Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with operating procedures. Monitor, control, and test semiconductor equipment for manufacturing readiness. Recover equipment from process interruptions, complete event documentation, and effectively communicate end‑of‑shift pass‑downs. Prioritize and plan daily work and scheduled activities, using effective time‑management skills. Support and engage in training activities. Support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs. Physical Capacity Demands Work in a standing position >85% of a 12‑hour shift. Walk on uneven surfaces >85% of a 12‑hour shift. Lift, pull, or carry at least 50 lbs periodically. Perform activities requiring climbing ladders, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and crawling >85% of a 12‑hour shift. Use a computer for >85% of a 12‑hour shift. Work in a cleanroom environment per semiconductor protocol, wearing required clothing. Wear upgraded PPE in accordance with GF safety procedures. Comply with OSHA & NIOSH standard CFR 29 1910.134 (clean shaven) and N95 or full‑face respirator as required. Required Qualifications High School Degree (or equivalent). Either a 2‑year technical degree and 4 years of relevant experience, 2 years of relevant military experience and 4 years of relevant experience, or 6 years of relevant experience (e.g., automotive repair, HVAC, cable installation, telecommunications, electrical work). Basic reading, writing, and computer navigation skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook). Flexibility to work any shift, including alternating weeks during day or night shift. Preferred Functions & Skills Review Statistical Process Control charts and react to out‑of‑control conditions. Develop and enhance operating procedures. Actively participate in continuous improvement projects and skill development. Read and comprehend schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams. Utilize basic hand tools and quality workmanship principles. Understand principles of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Associate degree in engineering technology or equivalent, 4+ years direct experience in semiconductor manufacturing. Project management skills: innovate and execute solutions. Week 1: Sunday–Tuesday + Saturday; Week 2: Sunday–Tuesday (for N1) or Wednesday–Saturday (for N2). Salary Range $48,200.00 – $83,200.00 – exact salary determined by qualifications, experience and location.
