Position Overview Clinical Team Lead – Oncology (Denver, Colorado) LOCATION : Onsite FLSA : Non‑Exempt HOURS : Monday to Friday, Day Shift, 40 hours per week COMPENSATION : $43.27 – $52.88 per hour (depending on experience) We are actively hiring a Clinical Team Lead to support our Valkyrie Clinical Trials Denver site, working closely with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, regulatory, budgets, contract personnel, principal investigators, sub‑investigators, and study sponsors/CROs. Key Responsibilities Represent Flourish in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with staff, sponsors/CROs, IRBs, patients/subjects, nurses, medical staff, and physicians. Ensure maintenance of confidentiality and HIPAA compliance for participant/patient information. Execute duties in coordination with a Senior CRC as needed. Coordinate multiple and complex protocols and guide day‑to‑day activities of the team. Follow and enforce SOP compliance for all team members. Assist in the review, development, and implementation of SOPs. Lead study conduct, including accurate and timely data entry into EMR, EDC, CTMS, and other required systems. Provide feedback to the Site Director on team and organizational performance. Help with hiring, performance management, talent planning, and termination decisions. Educate, mentor, and provide orientation and ongoing training for Clinical Research staff. Assist the Site Director with coordination of team members’ daily and weekly schedules to maintain adequate staffing. Act as backup for team members during absences or heavy workload periods. Schedule and attend meetings such as pre‑Site Selection Visits, SIVs, CRA/Monitor visits, periodic team meetings, and trainings. Communicate written and oral information to the team’s performance and any issues requiring intervention. Participate in study start‑up, conduct, and close‑out of assigned studies. Review charts for accuracy prior to randomization or screen failures. Oversee data collection and entry to ensure data integrity. Maintain quality control reviews of completed work. Ensure prescribed supplies, lab kits, and other study‑specific materials are stocked and valid. Track enrollment goals and ensure they are met. Assist with budget and contract matters during study creation and amendments. Work with the regulatory department to ensure accurate informed consent documents and related records. Maintain vital communication channels with Medical Director/Lead Investigator, Site Director, and other team and department leaders. Ensure continuous high‑level involvement by principal investigators per FDA, ICH, and SOP requirements. Attend meetings and training as required by Site Director, Regional Director, or General Manager. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Physical Requirements Work performed in a typical interior/office environment. Local travel and occasional interstate or international travel. Exposure to human bodily fluids. Laboratory procedures to obtain and process specimens. Participant/patient care responsibilities. Daily computer use. Occasional evening and weekend work schedules. Ability to lift 35 pounds and occasionally more. Daily automobile use and driving. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (or equivalent) preferred; BLS certification may be required upon hire. Minimum four years of clinical research experience, preferably in oncology, with at least one year as a team lead or supervisor. Strong technical leadership, critical thinking, and decision‑making skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a startup and/or high‑growth environment. Knowledge of federal regulations, ICH guidelines, GCP, IRB requirements, HIPAA, Flourish SOPs, employee manual, and human resource laws. Clinical skills: ECGs, vital signs, medical history, source documentation, specimen collection. Proven ability to handle large volumes of work efficiently and accurately. Organizational and resource management skills for on‑time project completion. Strong computer skills, including Office365, data entry systems, Real‑Time CTMS, and other clinical software. Experience in process improvement and implementing initiatives. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience writing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures. Strong problem‑solving, risk assessment, and impact analysis abilities. Professionalism, negotiation, and conflict‑management skills. Flexibility, multitasking, and prioritization of competing demands. Independent thinking and ability to influence when appropriate.
