Our facility, located in a busy city, serves a diverse patient population and offers a fast-paced environment where critical thinking skills and prioritization are essential. General Information Daily Patient Volume: 150-180 patients ED Capacity: 33 beds, with additional trauma and behavioral health facilities Level 2 Trauma Center with a high volume of trauma patients A complete stroke center with the ability to admit patients up to 24 hours Patient Types Neonates to geriatric patients Minor to critical conditions, including sepsis, DKA, respiratory illnesses, GI bleeds, and heavy trauma cases Care for pediatric patients and those requiring cardiac intervention Job Responsibilities Perform ESI assessments and prioritize patients based on clinical needs Provide care for all patient levels using critical thinking and effective communication Engage in evidence collection for sexual assault patients with the support of a Quality Coordinator Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience (excluding travel experience) Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS Completion of an accredited nursing education program Patient Ratios Registered Nurse: 1:4-5 LPN: 1:4-5 ED Tech: 1:10 Support and Resources Access to 24/7 physician coverage and hospitalist services Collaboration with a dedicated triage nurse Support from ED Technicians and pharmacy staff Orientation and Scheduling Orientation includes 8 hours of facility training and 4 hours of ED-specific education, followed by a minimum of two 12-hour shifts on the unit Variable shifts available, including day and night shifts Weekend shifts may be required to ensure adequate coverage Additional Information Free parking is provided for staff Scrub color is provided Approval for time off is required from management If you are a dedicated and skilled Emergency Department RN looking to make an impact in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply!
