Director of Nursing (DON) – Skilled Nursing Facility

Location: Cupertino, California

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Open to Discuss

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing operations in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The DON will oversee clinical services, ensure high-quality resident care, maintain regulatory compliance, and provide leadership to the nursing team in a resident-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee all nursing services and daily clinical operations.
Ensure delivery of high-quality resident care and compliance with federal and state regulations.
Develop staffing plans, schedules, and assignments to maintain 24/7 nursing coverage.
Recruit, train, mentor, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff.
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, hospice, home health, rehabilitation, and other providers.
Oversee quality assurance, survey readiness, infection control, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Support restorative care programs and continuous clinical improvement.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and resident-focused work environment.

Qualifications:

Active California RN License in good standing.
BSN preferred; advanced nursing degree is a plus.
Minimum 2 years of Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience.
Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in an SNF.
Strong leadership, staff development, organizational, and clinical assessment skills.
Experience with staffing, nursing operations, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
