Job Title: Electronics Assembly Technician

Job Description

Join an innovative engineering firm in Westfield, IN, specializing in full-service test, automation, and custom engineering solutions for industries including automotive, aerospace, and defense. As an Electronics Assembly Technician, you will collaborate closely with a Project Engineer/Manager to address issues, maintain project schedules, and drive projects to completion, working on a variety of custom test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to build and support advanced custom test equipment, including prototype fixtures and rack-mounted test cabinets.
  • Hands-on experience in assembling, wiring, modifying, and testing electromechanical systems based on drawings, schematics, and customer specifications.
  • Comfortable in building and wiring control panels using OEM crimp tooling and related hand tools.
  • Strong experience with wire preparation, including tinning and soldering, with a preference for printed circuit board soldering.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic and test equipment such as digital multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, and power supplies for functional testing and troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field (Associates or Bachelors).
  • Background in automotive repair, electrical technology, electronics, and electronics testing.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, climate-controlled environment. The role involves assembling electronic test boards, requiring consistent hand movement. The standard shift is Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, with flexibility for a consistent schedule.

This is a Permanent position based out of Westfield, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
