Responsibilities: Preparation of project bids, gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents. Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, and related documents. Compute costs by performing take-off, analyzing labor, material and time requirements. Provide critical support to estimating and project management by updating all estimating and design-build projects, working with owner/developer/architect for bid to companies. Attend meetings with project architects/customers as needed to assist with unresolved problems and ensure adequate coordination is happening to ensure accurate bid documents. Help monitor design scope for changes affecting budget or schedule; identify causes and advise customer as needed. Work Environment: Office Qualifications: Understanding of value engineering concept and knowledge of electrical code, building codes and standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, and Accubid. Exceptional organization skills and project/program management. 5+ years' experience in electrical estimating, performing preconstruction efforts and/or preparing proposal/qualification statements. Attention to detail, self-reliant, ability to balance workload, professional & positive attitude. Additional Skills & Abilities: Two-year college degree or training; or equivalent experience within the construction industry. Experience bidding industrial work.
