Day Hospitalist Physician – 7-On/7-Off Schedule

HealthYes Staffing Network is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine Physician for a permanent Day Hospitalist position with an established regional medical center in Southeast Alabama, near the Florida Panhandle and Southwest Georgia.

This is an immediate opening within a stable hospitalist group of more than 30 Internal Medicine physicians. The position offers a true 7-on/7-off schedule, daytime-only coverage, dedicated nocturnists, and strong support from intensivists, subspecialists, and advanced practice providers.

The primary responsibility is inpatient rounding. Hospitalists typically manage an average daily patient list of approximately 18–20 patients.

Position Highlights

• Permanent, hospital-employed position
• Day shift: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
• Seven days on followed by seven days off
• No night shifts
• Dedicated Nocturnist coverage
• Average rounding list of approximately 18–20 patients per provider
• Open ICU
• Three Intensivists onsite during the day shift
• Hospitalists participate in running codes
• No procedures required
• No call responsibilities outside scheduled shifts
• Established group of more than 30 Internal Medicine hospitalists
• Comprehensive subspecialty and APP support
• $100,000 signing-bonus package
• H-1B transfer sponsorship available
• J-1 sponsorship is not available

Responsibilities

• Round on and manage hospitalized adult patients
• Maintain an average daily patient list of approximately 18–20 patients
• Develop and coordinate inpatient treatment and discharge plans
• Participate in code response and management
• Provide care within an open ICU model with three daytime Intensivists onsite
• Manage appropriate admissions, transfers, and inpatient consultations as assigned
• Collaborate with Intensivists, specialists, advanced practice providers, nurses, case managers, and ancillary teams
• Participate in clinical quality and performance-improvement initiatives
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine
• Eligible for an unrestricted Alabama medical license
• Comfortable participating in code management
• Strong inpatient clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Physicians requiring an H-1B transfer may be considered
• J-1 candidates cannot be supported
