Qualifications and Experience

• Active and valid Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist license
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (additional credentials such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP are desirable)
• Experience with ventilators, oxygen therapy, airway management, and pulmonary function testing
• Proficiency in patient assessment, care planning, and documentation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt quickly to new situations and demonstrate critical thinking skills under pressure

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and execute individualized respiratory care for patients of all ages
• Administer oxygen and therapeutic gases, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy
• Operate and monitor ventilators and other advanced life support equipment
• Perform diagnostic testing, such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory treatment plans and equipment use
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Document all care provided and maintain accurate patient records

$1,832 - $2,004/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
