Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200–$2,320
• Contract Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• End Date: February 27, 2027
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, typically 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend, with flexibility for occasional back-to-back weekends
• Department Setting: 34-bed Emergency Department within a 226-bed Level III trauma center, seeing approximately 200–250 patients per day
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:3–5 based on acuity
• Charting: Epic electronic medical record experience required
• Floating: No
• On-Call Requirement: None
• First-Time Travelers: Considered for this travel RN opportunity

Emergency Department RN Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Washington
• At least 2 years of recent experience in a large-volume, high-acuity Emergency Department
• Emergency nursing experience caring for patients from neonates through geriatric adults
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• Current PALS or ENPC certification
• Demonstrated triage experience and the ability to successfully complete the department’s triage assessment before independently triaging patients
• Proficiency with Epic charting and electronic medical records
• Strong assessment, prioritization, communication, and crisis-management skills

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, timely, and compassionate emergency nursing care in a high-volume Level III trauma environment
• Perform rapid assessments, establish priorities using ESI principles, and provide care based on patient acuity
• Care for patients ranging from neonates to older adults, including pediatric medical and trauma patients
• Manage patients with stroke, cardiac, behavioral health, substance use, and multisystem trauma conditions
• Administer medications and blood products, including medication drips, using barcode medication administration processes
• Assist with trauma activations, cardiac emergencies, codes, and stabilization for transfer to higher-level specialty services
• Set up and monitor chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and ventilator support as indicated
• Perform or assist with splinting, point-of-care testing, and other emergency nursing interventions
• Participate in triage, fast-track, and zone-based Emergency Department operations
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, reassessments, and patient responses in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, technicians, and specialty teams to coordinate patient care
