Physical Therapist – Orthopedic Inpatient Therapy (Travel, Evenings)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Evenings – 4x10 Schedule, Monday–Thursday, 10:30 AM–9:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | No weekends | No call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations including review of orders, diagnoses, history, subjective findings, motor and sensory function, functional mobility, gait, and endurance
• Develop and implement individualized, patient-centered treatment plans addressing functional, psychosocial, cultural, educational, and spiritual needs using therapeutic modalities and interventions such as neuromuscular reeducation, gait training, manual therapy, and therapeutic activities
• Provide discharge planning including patient and caregiver education, home program instruction, equipment recommendations, and coordination of follow-up care
• Complete all clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with regulatory guidelines using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to support quality patient care outcomes
• Meet departmental productivity standards while maintaining quality of care; support process improvement and outcomes monitoring initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist license – must be licensed in Missouri or meet eligibility criteria for Missouri licensure
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience
• Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required for assignments spanning November 1–April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Black scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with orthopedic patients, particularly total joint replacement populations
• Familiarity with inpatient acute care therapy settings and associated documentation requirements
• Experience providing clinical supervision for students during rotations
