Associate Therapist (AMFT, ACSW, APCC)


Setting: Adult, Co-ed, Dual Diagnosis Treatment Program
Schedule: Full-time, 8-hour shifts
Compensation: $70,000 – $75,000 annually
Benefits: Included

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Substance Use Disorder Therapist to join our treatment facility serving adult, co-ed clients with primary substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a behavioral health or SUD treatment setting and be comfortable providing clinical support within a structured residential level of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual therapy and clinical support to clients in a treatment setting
  • Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups related to substance use, relapse prevention, coping skills, emotional regulation, and recovery
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning documentation
  • Collaborate with the clinical team, medical team, case managers, and program staff to support client care
  • Monitor client progress and assist in identifying ongoing treatment needs
  • Support clients with crisis intervention, stabilization, and emotional support as needed
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to clinical recommendations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility, licensing, and compliance standards
  • Utilize trauma-informed, client-centered, and recovery-focused approaches
  • Maintain professional boundaries and uphold confidentiality standards at all times

Qualifications

  • Active AMFT, APCC, or ACSW credential required
  • Experience working with substance use disorder and/or dual diagnosis populations preferred
  • Detox, residential, PHP, IOP, or behavioral health experience preferred
  • KIPU knowledge preferred
  • Strong clinical documentation and treatment planning skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication, organization, and crisis management skills
  • Comfortable working with adult, co-ed clients in a structured treatment environment
