JOB DESCRIPTION

Our customer is looking for an Engineer Design Checker to support their Mechanical & Energetics department. This position will serve on-site at Chandler, Arizona. Responsibilities Work within the customer's Design/Drafting group and check drawing/design packages for proper content and ensure compliance with applicable industry and military standards. Check designs for fit, function, manufacturability, and economy of fabrication, including tolerance analysis, hardware selection, and fitment on assembly prints. Resolve interpretation issues on drawings as an expert in GD&T. Verify 3D models submitted to manufacturing utilizing Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter. Act as liaison with various engineering disciplines, Manufacturing, Quality, and vendor partners. Model fully defined components and assemblies efficiently using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter and create/revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME modeling and drawing standards. Review mechanical drawings with appropriate personnel verifying completed work, checking dimensions, materials and quantities. Perform mechanical modeling using NX with Teamcenter. Create/revise parametric drawings in conformance with ASME 3D modeling and drawing standards. May supervise and direct the activities of staff as requested. Perform related duties as assigned or required. Demonstrate knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows, NX and Teamcenter. Possess good communication skills, written and verbal.
