Senior Staff Cloud FinOps Analyst

Team Global Cloud Services organization – managing the Public Cloud Cost & Usage governance team. Role This role will establish long‑range plans and monthly forecasts of public cloud cost & usage, identify and track optimization opportunities, work closely with engineering teams to ensure efficient resource usage, and collaborate on customer migration planning and tracking. The role also handles commit‑based discount coverage & utilization and develops cost & usage tool dashboards. It reports to the Director of Cloud FinOps. What you get to do in this role Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud spending across AWS, GCP and Azure Collaborate with Engineering teams to implement cost‑effective cloud solutions Develop and maintain cloud cost forecasting models Manage commit‑based‑discounts to optimize long‑term costs Provide visibility and insights into cloud expenses through dashboards and reports Define and implement cost allocations to measure unit‑metrics of cost per customer and cost per instance Define and promote best practices for cloud cost governance Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement in cost management Work with cloud service providers on demand planning and capacity reservation Collaborate with GTM team on customer migration planning and tracking To be successful in this role you have Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision‑making, or problem‑solving. 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, IT, Cloud Computing, or Business); or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a FinOps or cloud financial management role. Hands‑on experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud providers is a strong plus. Deep knowledge of cloud cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Google Cloud Billing). Strong experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and enterprise‑level cost optimization strategies. Ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and partner closely with Engineering, Finance, and Executive Leadership teams. Full professional proficiency in English (mandatory) Nice to Have FinOps Certified Practitioner or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Experience with automation tools for cost management. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to present financial insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders Proactive and self‑driven mindset For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $165,500 - $289,600 , plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits.
