Senior Medical Planner - Behavioral and Mental Health

Responsibilities Serve as the primary conduit for Behavioral Health business development in California, including developing and implementing a comprehensive business strategy. Advocate for and inspire creativity, critical thinking, and design excellence internally and externally. Lead business development pursuits or support as a subject‑matter expert in marketing proposals, interviews, and conference attendance. Aid in identifying, recruiting, and interviewing design staff at all levels. Foster collaboration between offices while promoting a clear design vision. Mentor, teach, and coach design staff to guide their careers. Evaluate the quality of design and design activities, ensuring high design quality throughout the firm. Develop and implement the firm’s brand, image, marketing collateral, and business collateral. Oversee and participate in the production of design award submissions. Engage staff in design dialogue, ensuring the design process is followed and influencing the use of technological tools. Serve as a vehicle for delivering the firm’s message on design. Identify and direct project photography, written descriptions, and other media to support building the firm’s portfolio. Act as an ambassador and steward of the firm’s portfolio, guiding and educating others. Capabilities & Credentials Engage in creative and critical thought to produce designs perceived as excellent externally. Sketch and effectively communicate concepts and ideas to others. Participate actively in project team settings. Lead multiple teams on large, complex projects through the development of design concepts. Receive and respond to criticism appropriately and professionally. Inspire confidence and garner trust and respect from the project team and clients. Provide balanced judgment and demonstrate good decision‑making. Check the work of others for accuracy and completeness, managing the team to meet project budgets and schedules. Scale processes, designs, and efforts to various roles on the project, adapting to changing needs. Interpret sketches, drawings, codes, building programs, and other materials. Exhibit strong presentation and interview skills, presenting abstract ideas to clients and representatives. Demonstrate cultural maturity and awareness both internally and externally. Possess general knowledge of building construction systems, constructability, materials, and industry standards. Understand and utilize Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Newforma. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field. Registered architect in California preferred. Minimum 7–8 years of experience. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Work Environment Typical office environment with computer use and extended periods of sedentary work. Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather. Pay Range Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & various CA, NJ areas – Minimum $108,000.00, Maximum $162,000.00. Locations in WA, DC & various CA areas – Minimum $115,900.00, Maximum $173,800.00. Benefits Full‑time employees (≥20 hours/week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and AD&D insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage, and paid family leave. They receive ten paid holidays per year and accrue 10–20 vacation days per year, with paid sick leave in accordance with state and local law. Part‑time employees receive similar benefits for ≥20 hours/week. Temporary/casual employees receive 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase programs, and paid leave under applicable state and local law. Benefit details for union positions are governed by collective bargaining agreements.
