As a Locum Emergency Medicine physician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and managing a diverse range of medical emergencies. This position is essential in ensuring that our patients receive timely and efficient care, impacting their health outcomes significantly.

 

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in emergency situations
• Perform necessary diagnostic procedures and interventions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Provide immediate care in life-threatening situations
• Consult with specialists as needed for complex cases
• Educate patients and their families on medical conditions and treatments
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and training programs

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Licensure in the state of Florida
• Completion of residency in Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine (preferred)

Flexible Schedule: Day, night, or weekend shifts

No call requirement

Shifts available at both the hospital and free-standing EDs

Must be board-certified
