Volunteer

This position engages with potential supporters and current donors through outreach methods trained and managed by the Development Manager. Volunteers are expected to represent APL’s mission of inclusion and compassion through speech and actions. Volunteer Leaders have a commitment to engage with supporters and potential supporters with trust and a drive to bring about greater belonging and community.

Responsibilities include:

• Solicit support through a variety of outreach methods, not limited to phone calls, postcard writing, canvassing, and event hosting
• Get trained in APL’s campaign and outreach strategies
• Assist with event operations, as needed
• Uphold HIPPA/FERPA and confidentiality agreements

Time commitment:

Anyone in this position is expected to serve in the role for at least six months with shifts based on volunteer availability and planned shifts.

All volunteer leaders are expected to provide at least 5 hours per month toward APL volunteering, including regularly scheduled volunteer meetings. A minimum of 15 hours within a three-month period to be considered an active volunteer.
