In this role, you will be responsible for the assessment, insertion, maintenance and management of vascular access devices, including PICC lines, midlines and peripheral IVs, while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care./ppPreferred candidates will have experience in nursing infusion, mid-line and PICC placement, and a solid understanding of venous access devices and the vascular system. Proficiency in IV placement, central line care, blood draws, and medication managementincluding IV administration and anaphylaxis responseis highly valued./ppThe ideal candidate will demonstrate independent judgment, excellent time management, and the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams./ppSchedule:/pulli13 Week Contract, 36 hours per week./lili12-Hour Night shifts/li/ulpDepartment Preferred Licensure, Certification, Registration:/pulliCurrent and unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the District of Columbia./liliCertification in BLS CPR required./liliVA-BC (Vascular Access-Board Certified) strongly desired but not required./li/ulpDepartment Preferred Experience:/pulliMinimum of three years hospital experience as a practicing nurse.
