Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac Rehab

Job Description

The Exercise Physiologist evaluates cardiac patients, plans and implements a cardiac rehabilitation program. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology or related field from an accredited college or universityPREFERRED EDUCATION:MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 12 week internship in cardiac rehabilitationPREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years experience with exercise prescription in a clinical settingREQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: American College of Sports Medicine Clinical Exercise PhysiologistREQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):

• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
