As a DoD SkillBridge intern, you'll gain hands-on, real-world experience with a growing organization that is committed to transitioning qualified service members into full-time careers.Position SummaryAs a Parts Specialist intern, you will play a vital role in fulfilling parts requests for LiftOne technicians and customers — triaging service order requests, supporting parts sales, and providing customer support throughout the order lifecycle.What You'll Do During This InternshipMonitor the parts request ticketing queue and support technicians with timely actions and updatesProvide customer service for inside sales, walk-in customers, and incoming ordersCollaborate with technicians and the procurement team to coordinate material replenishmentCheck material availability across the LiftOne materials networkCreate and modify sales and/or service orders to meet customer requirements for material, quantity, and shipmentHelp customers find the correct parts for their equipment and process sales transactionsSupport outbound sales calls to grow parts salesVerify material accuracy using technician manuals, vendor portal information, and part interchange/supersession dataCommunicate order updates between technicians and the procurement teamProvide backup support to other LiftOne parts/warehouse functions as neededSkills & Knowledge You'll GainInventory management and ERP systems (SAP exposure)Supply chain and parts replenishment principlesCustomer-facing sales and service order processingParts lookup, interchange, and vendor portal navigation (Hyster-Yale, TVH, and others)Forklift operation (certification training provided)Candidate BackgroundHigh school diploma or equivalentStrong customer-first attitude and problem-solving skillsBasic math skills (counting inventory, case quantities, etc.)Comfortable with MS Excel/Office; prior ERP exposure a plusValid driver's licenseAbility to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbsPrior technician or parts experience a plus, not requiredPhysical Demands & Work EnvironmentWhile performing this role, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear, with frequent sitting and lifting up to 25 lbs. Depending on site location, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and equipment, and occasionally to weather conditions, dust, or noise typical of a branch/warehouse environment.Potential for EmploymentUpon successful completion of this SkillBridge internship, candidates may be considered for full-time employment with LiftOne, with continued enrollment in the Parts Team career development path.
