As an Assistant Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in helping us deliver a one-of-a-kind experience for our guests and a strong foundation for our crew.
Position Summary:
The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing restaurant operations, leading shifts, and ensuring that Freddy's standards for service, cleanliness, food quality, and teamwork are consistently met. You'll train and coach team members, help manage costs, and act as the GM when they're away.
Key Responsibilities:
OPERATIONS
- Lead the team in executing smooth, high-volume shifts across dine-in, drive-thru, and mobile orders.
- Ensure accuracy and quality in food preparation, order execution, and guest interactions.
- Open and close the restaurant, handle cash reconciliation, and manage deposits.
- Monitor product levels and place supply orders to ensure all stations are stocked.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and positive work environment in compliance with all safety standards.
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and developing hourly staff and shift leaders.
- Conduct ongoing training to reinforce Freddy's procedures, culture, and expectations.
- Provide timely coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
- Handle discipline and terminations professionally, with appropriate documentation.
- Create and adjust weekly schedules to match sales trends and team availability.
- Lead by example with energy, enthusiasm, and urgency.
- Motivate the team and foster a fun, respectful, team-first culture.
- Resolve team conflicts and guest concerns quickly and professionally.
- Communicate daily goals and updates clearly to shift leaders and crew.
- Support company rollouts, promotions, and brand standards.
- High school diploma or GED required; prior leadership in quick service or casual dining preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old; ServSafe certification is a plus.
- Great communicator with a positive, guest-focused attitude.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable with POS systems, basic computer programs, and handling money.
- Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Able to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods in a fast-paced setting.
