Position Details Position Type: Business Office/ Grants Manager Date Posted: 6/18/2026 Location: Bristol Board of Education Date Available: ASAP Position Title Grant Manager Department Non-bargaining Reports To Director of Finance Summary Manage all aspects of grants including accounting, payments, revisions, program management/oversight and evaluations. Assist in the writing and application of all grants with program managers. Work directly with Grant Program Coordinators and Accounting Supervisor to monitor expenditures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reconcile all expenditure sheets to Munis on a weekly basis. Open PO's, place and receive orders, track expenditures and available balances for all state, federal, and local grants. Assist with grant applications according to Request for Proposal and funder requirements. Collaborate with external agencies, community individuals and community groups that may participate in partnership grant applications. Provide technical assistance to district personnel in seeking funding opportunities and proposal development. Collect, collate and analyze all data required for grant evaluations and demonstration of grant outcomes. Communicate with public and private school staff, building administrators and central office administrators regarding grant programs and grant requirements. Monitor and coordinate implementation of all grant programs and use of funds in grant programs. Develop recommendations for grant expenditures and grant programs based on outcomes of funded programs. Assist program coordinators with management of grant funds, implementation of grant programs, collection and analysis of data, completion of grant evaluation reports. On at least a monthly basis, review grant expenditures for each grant program and project grant expenditures through the end of the fiscal year. Complete grant budget revisions as required and needed. Review all expenditures of funds awarded to the private schools for compliance with grant requirements. Meet with grant program providers as needed. Other duties may be assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Education and/Or Experience Bachelor's Degree preferably in education or a business-related field. Grant writing, management and evaluation experience preferred. Strong written language and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage funds. Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with accounting software. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Computer Skills Familiarity with standard hardware and software applications. Ability to use computers for e‑mail, word processing, accounting, spreadsheet analysis, databases and presentations. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Other Skills and Abilities Proficiency with microcomputer applications and office supervisory experience required. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the school community. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
