Retail Scan Associate (NEW WINDSORNY12553)

Overview This is a permanent part-time role. ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a selected pool of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed to improve product and retailer sales performance. What does a Retail Scan Associate do? Weekly in-store data collection for 52 weeks per year, using a mobile app to scan barcodes across grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores, including national chains such as Walmart, Kroger, Target, and Albertsons, as well as independent retailers. The position estimates 4–9 hours per week (depending on store size and project requirements). While scanning, you will provide quantity information for about 45% of scanned products. You will also complete Display Scanning of the entire store each week, and perform Custom Project work—additional detailed product data—requiring 30 minutes to 2 hours per relevant week. Adhering to weekly deadlines and maintaining data accuracy is critical. Expect continuous physical activity throughout the shift. Responsibilities Scan barcodes in designated locations throughout the store. Provide quantity information for approximately 45% of scanned products. Qualifications At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license. Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to reach 6 feet in the air, bend, stretch, stoop, and stand. Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods. Attention to detail and independence. Deadline-driven self-starter. Reliable Wi-Fi access and tech savvy. High school diploma or GED (preferred). Benefits Competitive compensation: $17 per hour.
