Part-Time Assistant Manager

Role Summary Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and operational standards are met. They are cross‑trained in all departments, provide training to employees, and support the General Manager. Responsibilities Follow the direction of the General Manager. Support the General Manager’s decisions in communication with staff. Work in all departments and complete all theatre job functions. Train and coach team members in their specific job functions. Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager. Observe and participate in inspections of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof, signage, and equipment condition. Report building, property, and equipment repair needs to the General Manager. Ensure that theatre team members follow the dress code. Interact with guests to improve service and ensure team members provide superior customer service. Learn and enforce Cinemark guidelines and policies fairly and consistently. Report employee relations issues to the General Manager or the designated portal, following the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol. Maintain high work‑ethic standards and code of conduct. Identify and sanitize high‑contact areas for employees and guests. Use personal protective equipment as required. Adjust to frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks. Address safety or security issues such as trip hazards, inadequate lighting, or suspicious persons. Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Requirements Be at least 18 years of age. High school or G.E.D. graduate preferred. Complete three basic courses—Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core—within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program. Complete basic food‑handling training and obtain any required local or state certification, health card, or food handlers permit. For those working with alcohol, complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Maintain regular and consistent attendance. Exhibit an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift. Provide excellent guest service and accurate cash handling with basic math skills. Communicate verbally and in writing with all ages, genders, and personalities. Work effectively in a team environment and independently. Follow direction and respond with a sense of urgency. Demonstrate strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Be capable of training and leading others. Resolve conflict constructively. Physical & Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre. Noise level may be moderate to high.
