Job Summary Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Job Details Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/15/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights (18:45 - 07:15) Employment Type: Travel Charting System: Epic Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years total experience with at least 1 year of direct MedSurg experience. At least 2 successful travel contracts prior to applying. Requirement to have specific MedSurg experience documented in work history: minimum 1 year in MedSurg plus an additional year in MedSurg/Telemetry/PCU. Certification or training in: IV Start, Telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, Med/Surg neuro experience. Basic certifications: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS; ACLS preferred but not required. Preferred Qualifications APAC/ACLS certification. Job Specifics & Expectations Patient diagnoses: Primarily stroke patients; possible neurosurgery and other neuro diagnoses such as epilepsy, traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, and more. Unit features: 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU); unit trains nurses for EMU responsibilities. Daily census: 42; 43 beds/rooms available. Systems used: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR. Ratios: 1:6. Shift flexibility: 36‑hour or 48‑hour shifts accepted; 12‑hour nights most common. Weekend coverage: Required to work every other weekend; if a shift is missed, it must be made up later based on unit needs. Floating: Allowed to float to any MedSurg/Telemetry area, including COVID care units; frequent floating may be required. Orientation: 36‑hour orientation period. Scrubs: Navy color.
