Special Education Teacher

Now Hiring: Special Education Teachers (K–12) – Maricopa, AZ

Location: A school in Maricopa, Arizona

Compensation: $50–56+/hr based on experience (W-2)

Assignment Dates: July 20, 2026 – May 27, 2027

Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday

Hours may vary slightly based on assigned school site.

Position Details

Cross Country Education is seeking dedicated and passionate Special Education Teachers to support students across all grade levels (K–12) in Maricopa, Arizona. We currently have 3 openings available and are hiring educators who are committed to helping students achieve academic, behavioral, and social success in a supportive learning environment.

Available Assignments

• Specialty Program / Self-Contained Classrooms
• Cross-Categorical (K–5)
• Resource Room
• Co-Taught High School Classrooms

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student goals and Arizona standards
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring data
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Support positive behavioral interventions and inclusive educational practices
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs

Requirements

• Valid Arizona Special Education Credential
• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
