Equipment Operator

GridSource is seeking an Equipment Operator!

Pay Rate $18 - $20 /hr depending on experience


Responsibilities:

• Operate a track hoe efficiently and safely
• Learn and independently operate facility equipment
• Use all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
• Stay updated on industry technological advancements
• Communicate effectively to resolve issues
• Support team efforts and uphold GridSource' s mission and values
• Maintain a positive work environment and build professional relationships
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Follow GridSource policies and procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; some college or vocational training preferred
• Minimum of five years in underground or civil construction
• Previous experience in the broadband industry required
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and manage crews
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of construction, the National Electrical Code, OSHA regulations, and safety standards
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift and carry up to 95 lbs. and operate a 32-foot ladder
• Experience in environments with moderate to loud noise and occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week, including holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed
