Requirements

• Basic life support
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Dentrix
• Experienced Dental Hygienist (1+ years)
• General Dentistry
• Licensed dental hygienist

License: Current and active Dental Hygienist License in New York State.
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required by state law).
Certification: Current CPR Certification.
Knowledge: Excellent working knowledge of general dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, and patient screening processes.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods and occasionally lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
Compliance: Must successfully complete a tuberculosis (TB) test prior to starting employment.

Job Description

Perform thorough and comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling, and patient-specific preventative treatments.
Conduct detailed dental patient screening and accurately document medical history records, ensuring patient safety and comprehensive care planning.
Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventative care and overall dental health maintenance.
Manage 60-minute recare appointments and 90-minute new patient appointments, allowing for personalized, unhurried care.
Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment (e.g., digital x-rays, digital scanner) as required for comprehensive patient assessment.
Maintain strict adherence to all infection control protocols and office clinical needs.
Collaborate effectively with the Doctor and team on patient treatment plans.

Mondays: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Wednesdays: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Additional Availability: Must be available to attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically throughout the year.
