WE LOVE OUR WORK.Position is open until filledNow hiring candidates 18 or older for all positions, including gaming licensed positions (Must be 21 or older for Beverage Server, Barback, Bartender)Ameristar Casino Resort Spa offers team members:Health benefits insurance package effective day 1: medical, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability for FT team members$700 referral bonus program ($350 at 90 days $350 at 6 months) – for team members who refer new applicantsDiscounted casino bus ticketsDiscounted RTD EcoPassHot meal served by the leadership team once a month20% discount for Starbucks, Ara Spa, and all food outlets100% Colorado gaming license reimbursement after 90 days of employmentHotel discounts available at all 43 PENN properties, plus discounts on goods and servicesEducation reimbursement program and annual scholarship programCareer development opportunitiesResponsibilities include:Central Plant & HVAC OperationsOperate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot central plant equipment and mechanical systems.Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC and central plant equipment and systems.Maintain and repair chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, air handling equipment, and associated mechanical systems, as applicable.Troubleshoot and maintain VAVs, MAUs, AHUs, VFDs, and other HVAC control and distribution systems.Monitor equipment operation and identify abnormal conditions, potential failures, and maintenance needs.Perform routine inspections and document equipment conditions and completed maintenance.Respond to HVAC and mechanical service requests throughout the property and prioritize work based on operational needs.Assist with seasonal startup, shutdown, and maintenance of mechanical and HVAC systems.Maintain appropriate refrigerant handling practices and comply with applicable environmental and safety requirements.Facilities & Skilled Trades SupportAssist with general facilities maintenance and repairs outside of primary HVAC responsibilities.Provide support with plumbing, refrigeration, mechanical, and other MEP systems as needed.Troubleshoot equipment and building system issues and determine appropriate repair or escalation.Assist other facilities team members with larger maintenance projects, repairs, and property needs.Perform minor repairs and adjustments to building systems and equipment within the scope of training, experience, and applicable licensing.Assist with emergency maintenance situations and respond to urgent building or equipment issues.Support property needs during severe weather events, including snow removal and other weather-related maintenance activities.Assist with parking lot, grounds, and other property maintenance as needed.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment.Complete work orders, preventative maintenance documentation, and other required maintenance records.Utilize computerized maintenance management systems and other technology to document work and equipment conditions.Communicate equipment concerns, repair needs, and potential operational issues to the facilities supervisor.Provide professional and courteous service to team members and guests when performing work throughout the property.This is a uniformed position, which requires that team members comply with uniform and appearance standards while on duty.Perform other duties as assigned based on business and operational needs.BRING US YOUR BEST.Minimum of three (3) years of experience in commercial, industrial, hospitality, or facilities HVAC/mechanical maintenance.Strong working knowledge of central plant operations and mechanical systems.EPA universal certification required.Journeyman-level experience in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or another related skilled trade; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial HVAC and mechanical equipment.Working knowledge of VAVs, MAUs, AHUs, VFDs, and related HVAC systems and controls.Working knowledge of refrigeration systems preferred.Working knowledge of plumbing and general building mechanical systems preferred.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Ability to troubleshoot equipment and systems independently and determine appropriate corrective action.Experience using computerized maintenance management systems and general computer applications.Ability to use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and other equipment associated with the skilled trades.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with other facilities team members and departments.Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple work orders and operational needs.Proactive approach to preventative maintenance and identifying potential equipment or building issues.Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.Ability and willingness to assist with work outside of the primary HVAC specialty as operational needs require.Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and respond to emergency maintenance needs as required by business operations.STARTING SALARY$45.00 to $49.00 per hour
