At iHeartMedia we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace and are looking for teammates passionate about what we do! iHeartMedia is seeking an experienced Broadcast Engineering Support Technician What You’ll Do: Participate in designing, configuring, deploying and maintaining various types of electronic equipment for optimum transmission and/or broadcast performance with scalability, performance and reliability Assist clients, fellow technicians, and service personnel in the installation, training and support of software, hardware, and related 3rd party peripheral components, including but are not limited to file servers, commercial grade workstations, networking switches, NICs, monitors, KVMs, and radio equipment Test faulty electronic components and circuits to locate defects and applies knowledge of electronic systems and test tools to diagnose causes of malfunction Implement planned maintenance support (e.g. installs tools, applies upgrades, etc.) as a preventative/precautionary measure Align, adjust, and calibrate RF transmission equipment according to manufacturer specifications and FCC regulations Maintain the integrity of mission critical data and audio file storage and backups Maintain reliable operation of audio automation system Maintain internal tools used by the department and records repairs, calibrations and tests Make capital improvement recommendations to engineering management Make facilities maintenance recommendations of transmitter sites for safe and reliable technical operation May participate in after-hours production/deployment/releases Provides 24/7 on-call response to all studio and transmission technical operations issues What You’ll Need: Excellent written, oral communications, and organizational skills Ability to work independently, occasional nights and weekend work is expected Must be on-call and available to respond 24/7 Ability to climb ladders, work in small spaces and ability to lift 50 pounds 2 years technical school or military training in electronics or equivalent experience with 4 years’ experience in broadcast operations, SBE certification or FCC General Class license is preferred Valid state driver’s license and an excellent driving record What You’ll Bring: Respect for others and a strong belief that others should do this in return Full proficiency and understanding of job function Open communication with colleagues and direct reports that encourages collaboration and team consensus Strong problem solving skills Efficiency with independent work under minimal guidance Commitment to process improvement for overall team effectiveness Professional communication that stresses diplomacy, empathy and patience Compensation: Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job‑related qualifications, and alignment with market data. $33.46 - $41.83 Location: Burbank, CA: 3400 West Olive Avenue, Suite 550, 91505 Position Type: Regular Time Type: Full time Pay Type: Hourly Benefits: iHeartMedia’s benefits offering is flexible and offers a variety of choices to meet the diverse needs of our changing workforce, including the following: Employer sponsored medical, dental and vision with a variety of coverage options Company provided and supplemental life insurance Paid vacation and sick time Paid company holidays A Spirit day to encourage and allow our employees to more easily volunteer in their community A 401K plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no cost – services include telephonic counseling sessions, consultation on legal and financial matters, emotional well-being, family and caregiving A range of additional voluntary programs, such as spending accounts, student loan refinancing, accident insurance and more!
