Certified Middle School School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Jacksonville, North Carolina

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Certification as required by state and/or national standards
• Experience working within school environments (elementary, middle, and/or high school settings)
• Strong understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
• Proficiency in a variety of assessment and therapy techniques to address communication disorders
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to diverse student populations and collaborate across disciplines

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy to students as identified through IEPs
• Conduct comprehensive screenings and assessments to determine student needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans and intervention strategies
• Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations for goal setting and progress
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and other service providers to support each student's communication skills in academic and social settings
