Radiology - CT Tech

CT TechnologistThis is a 13-week contract position.Day shift, 5 days a week, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. On-call is required.The CT Technologist is responsible for preparing patients for diagnostic procedures, explaining scans, positioning patients to capture appropriate images, and operating equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissues.ResponsibilitiesComplete all required paperwork and requisitions for ordered exams in a timely manner.Schedule all exams promptly and perform diagnostic Radiographic/Fluoroscopic C-arm exams on patients in the department and with portable equipment.Utilize IV contrast media injection as needed and perform a variety of examinations, reconstructions, and printing protocols as per the Radiologist's instructions.Identify mechanical and electronic equipment failures to diagnose problems with radiographic machines and processors.Explain procedures to patients and address any questions regarding the equipment or procedure.Properly move and transport patients to and from the department as required.Order necessary supplies and maintain par levels.Treat all patients, guests, coworkers, and physicians with courtesy and respect regardless of cultural/ethnic background, gender, orientation, or age.Attend required in-services and orientations, working closely with floor staff to facilitate excellent patient care.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureRegistered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.CT Certification is required.BLS certification is required.A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Medical Imaging field (not including education) is required.Experience operating facility-specific equipment (Philips) is required.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
