Facilities Operations SpecialistHII's Mission Technologies division is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions that advance national security and defense objectives. We are actively looking for a Facilities Operation Specialist. This position is part of our Cyber and Intelligence division, which plays a critical role in supporting Enterprise-Level Security and Modernization efforts across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, physical facilities, and personnel operations. The selected candidate will contribute to a high-impact government program focused on enhancing and securing mission-critical systems and environments. Due to the classified nature of the mission and the sensitivity of the operational environment, an active TS/SCI security clearance will be required.Essential Job Responsibilities:Manage and operate facility security systems and processes for access control (ACS), intrusion detection (IDS) and electronic surveillance (ESS)Operate Avigilon (ESS) in support of facility operations and security manager directed investigationsMonitor, test and report status of security system to the Command Security ManagerConduct semi-annual test per ICD-705 requirementsRespond, assess, troubleshoot, repair and/or triage security system components as neededPerform routine system maintenance, repair and modernization of system components to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 operationAssess impact from emergencies and outages providing status updates to security manager and facility opsIdentify modernization opportunities and recommendations for contractsCoordinate with the Command Security Manager, Network engineers, Information Security Manager and Security Specialist as required to manage security system networks and componentsWorks with cross-functional teams to optimize maintenance and repair of physical security equipment and devices such as assess control boom gates and turnstiles with the building managerMake limited scope assessments on deficiencies to the above-mentioned equipmentMaintain and operate facility access badge equipment. Handle limited-scope repairsPrepare purchase request for replacementsAssist with annual physical security inspection of facility compound and building perimetersAction security manager directed requests associated with ESS and IDS systems in support of Physical Security InspectionsSupport configuration management of facility data closet equipment related to behind the wall voice/data infrastructure from the communication closet to the wall portMaintain patch panels from to wall for Voice / DataAssign, move and Change passwords and phone numbers as requestedProvide written reports as requiredCoordinate troubleshooting and repair with system administrators, network managers and engineersAdminister and control the issue of unclassified voice handsets and perform minor system maintenance in coordination with the system administrator, network manager and engineersMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experienceMust have basic technical knowledge (such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance) and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment and possess a basic knowledge of construction principlesMust possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulationsMust be able to handle multiple priorities and work independentlyLevel Requirements:Level 2: High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experienceLevel 3: High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experienceLevel 4: High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experiencePreferred Requirements:Technical school education preferredTwo (2) year maintenance experience preferredPhysical Requirements:May require working in an industrial or shipboard environmentNormally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor levelMay encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teamsMeet HII's Mission Technologies Division:Our team of more than 7,000 professionals worldwide delivers all-domain expertise and advanced technologies in service of mission partners across the globe.
