Associate Attorney - Remote in Anaheim

Zwicker & Associates, P.C. is a national creditor rights law firm that emphasizes ethics, compliance, and assertive representation of our clients’ interests. Founded in 1991, we protect lenders in consumer and commercial recovery efforts and litigation. Our headquarters are in Andover, Massachusetts, with offices across the United States. The firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Anaheim, CA office. Candidates must be residents of the Anaheim area in order to attend local hearings. Base salary range: $120,000‑$140,000 per year, plus applicable bonus. This is a full‑time, full‑benefit position. Responsibilities of Associate Attorneys: Communicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside parties Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, etc., to advance active litigation files Review litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action Advocate on behalf of the client’s interests at various litigation settings Utilize internal proprietary software to update and document the status of each account in the assigned inventory Analyze and process litigation inventory reports and files, as assigned by the Managing Attorney, to ensure proper workflow is performed pursuant to firm and client expectations Comply with all client and firm standard operating procedures Travel to various courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required Prepare for and represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, including case strategy development, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and presenting oral arguments Negotiate settlements with consumers and their legal representatives to resolve disputes efficiently while protecting client interests Evaluate case merits, assess risk exposure, and provide strategic legal recommendations Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and court procedures Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: Admitted to practice law and in good standing in California Strong organizational and time management skills Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly motivated self‑starter Eagerness to learn Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload Ability to communicate in a common language with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing Ability to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device Ability to complete a minimum of a 40‑hour flexible workweek schedule Ability to read and comprehend position‑specific documents and correspondence Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of one year of litigation/trial experience Working knowledge of civil procedure Debt collection experience Prior experience in a high‑volume environment Remote Work Requirements: Private location within home free from third parties and household members Stable internet service with a minimum speed of 5 Mbps or equivalent broadband Maintain confidentiality and data security standards Availability during business hours Comply with the Firm’s Remote Working Policy Physical Qualifications: Lift five pounds or greater Sit 90 % of the workday as needed Bend at the waist and be mobile when needed Concentrate and use critical thinking Zwicker & Associates, P.C. is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to qualified individuals with disabilities.
