Description Lincolnshire Prairie View School District 103 seeks an enthusiastic and experienced indivdualfor full time Speech and Language Pathologistto work with guided/low incidence students. Job Responsibilities Report to Director of Student Services and building Principal. Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary special education team. Provide therapeutic services to speech-language impaired students and itinerant services to private school students with an Individual Service Plan (ISP). Complete screenings and thorough assessments of language, articulation, voice and fluency disorders, and write reports to accompany evaluations. Consult and collaborate with parents, administrators, teachers, and other service providers to monitor student progress and develop appropriate programs and interventions for students with speech-language needs. Follow special education procedures, which include but is not limited to, participating in team and IEP meetings, writing and implementing IEP's, monitoring progress, and goal reporting. Collaboratively plan and participate in a school improvement program. Provide the full range of speech and language services to students, and serve as a lead member for the early childhood assessment team, enabling students to achieve optimal learning. Systematically collect, analyze, synthesize, and interpret data and information necessary to guide services such as consultation, intervention planning, and evaluation of social communication skills within the educational setting, including play-based assessment. Assist in the oversight of Early Intervention Transition Meetings. Provide direct services related to speech/language and social communication skills to students in low incidence programming, develop appropriate goals and objectives, and monitor progress toward mastery of IEP goals. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology. Speech-Language Impaired endorsement required. Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA. Experience with autism preferred. Ability to provide therapy and diagnostics for students with language disabilities, articulation deficits, dysfluency, and voice disorders. Experience with students with moderate to severe disabilities, AAC, and Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred.
