Job Title: Quality Auditor/Watch & Protect Technician

Job Summary: An experienced technician who performs Quality Audits on completed Locating Tickets and responsible for a variety of tasks related to utility protection for a variety of utility clients. The Watch and Protect technician will be responsible for overseeing contractors digging on and around utility facilities, and monitoring excavation to help prevent damage from being done to critical facilities.• Perform Quality Audits • On-site audits of completed work should include Inspection of locate marks and marking standards for accuracy. o E-Sketch documentation o Billing and status codes used. o Screen capture and photo documentation review o Scope of the tickets work area completed. Be sure to focus on accuracy and marking standards while performing the audit. • Any serious concerns found during audits should be communicated to the supervisor immediately and addressed while onsite.
• Watch & Protect • Compares real world conditions to the record documentation to identify errors and omissions • Verifies location of all client facilities within specified dig extents • Watches and protects client facilities within a given area as directed by the client • Understands contractor's means and methods for subsurface installations • Responsible for monitoring and providing surveillance of critical infrastructure where excavations are known to be taking place or will be taking place soon • Contacting excavators and scheduling with them to monitor critical excavation • Monitoring excavations near critical infrastructure to prevent damage from being done to client facilities • Locates and marks underground facilities using various industry tools, standards and methods including the use of various locating devices and utility maps • Performs ticket audits to ensure locators are accurately locating facilities and following proper marking procedures In order to obtain employment with GridHawk LLC, candidates MUST complete a background check. Company policy requires no violations within the last 5 years. Candidates MUST also take and pass a DOT drug test. All employees of GridHawk LLC, are assigned proper technology and work vehicles in order to perform all work-related duties. We will provide you the tools you need to achieve including: • Company vehicle, laptop and smartphone • Uniforms and all personal protective equipment provided Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Valid driver's license
• 2 years of experience in the locating industry Essential skills and experience:
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and interrupt prints at a high level.
• Multiple years locating and pipeline technician experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work smoothly with citizens, company, contractor representatives, and customers
• Good organizational skills to be able to handle many varied tasks at once
• Knowledge and understanding of safe worksite practices
• Experience with the construction and installation of below grade infrastructure and basic maintenance of industry standard locating equipment
• Working within and utilizing existing utility standard designs
• Experience with complex urban underground utility infrastructure and serving as firm/client liaison
• Reviewing design drawings created by others Physical Requirements:
• Capable of moving about on construction work sites, public streets and parkways
• Capable of lifting up to 50/75lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel or sit for extended periods
• Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various measurement, locating and testing instruments

• Work safely outside in all weather conditions year-round
• Occasionally work in excavations areas and roadways
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration
• The noise level in the work environment is occasionally moderate to loud
Job Type: Full-time • Hourly • Pay varies based on experience Benefits: All employees are eligible to receive some form of company benefits. All benefits are available to regular, full-time employees who maintain an average of 30 hours worked per week. Qualifying employees can enjoy paid holidays and PTO. Health benefits will be available the first of the next month following 30 days of employment. The 401k and matching program are available after their 90-day introductory period.
