Job Title: Shipper & Receiver 2 Job Description

This role performs a wide range of shipping and receiving activities within a large, climate-controlled warehouse, following established procedures to ensure accurate, safe, and efficient handling of products. You will be responsible for receiving, stocking, consolidating, picking, and shipping inventory while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping to support daily operational goals.

• Receive inbound shipments and verify documentation, SKU numbers, quantities, and overall product quality from vendors.
• Stock products from vendors and plants into designated bulk locations in an organized and accurate manner.
• Consolidate products with identical SKU numbers within bulk locations to optimize storage and inventory accuracy.
• Pull bulk products and place them into pick zones to support order fulfillment activities.
• Consult with Inventory Control to resolve stock discrepancies, inventory issues, and product location questions.
• Retrieve specified products from pick locations to fulfill daily customer and internal orders.
• Transfer cartons from shipping lanes and stack them onto pallets in preparation for outbound loading.
• Load and unload materials safely using power industrial equipment and material handling tools, as needed and as certified.
• Use RF scanners and basic computer systems to track inventory movements, confirm picks, and update order status.
• Perform order selection, picking, packing, and general material handling tasks to support shipping and receiving operations.
• Meet and maintain department quality and productivity standards while following all safety expectations and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area, including adherence to housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse.
• Support the resolution of complex operational or inventory issues by collaborating with peers and other departments.
• Work within multi-level storage modules, including climbing stairs and working at heights as required.
• Lift, move, and handle products up to 40 pounds repetitively and frequently throughout the shift.
• Work overtime with little or no advance notice when business needs require it.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall distribution and warehouse operations.

• Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Experience in shipping and receiving functions, including order selection, order picking, loading, and unloading.
• Hands-on experience with inventory, picking, packing, and general warehouse labor.
• Ability to operate or become certified to operate power industrial equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Experience using RF scanners for inventory tracking and order processing.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of overall distribution and warehouse operations.
• Ability to read and comprehend written information, including documentation and labels, and to count inventory accurately.
• Ability to work safely in multi-level modules and at heights without fear.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repetitively and frequently.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and climb stairs throughout the shift.
• Thorough knowledge of workplace safety expectations and commitment to following safety procedures.
• Ability to support resolution of complex problems and recognize opportunities for process improvement.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
• Flexibility to work overtime with little or no notice based on operational needs.

• Previous power industrial vehicle experience, such as operating electric pallet jacks or forklifts, is preferred.
• Experience in a large warehouse or distribution center environment is beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed quality and productivity standards.
• Ability to represent the organization professionally and collaborate effectively with peers.
• Comfort working with technology, including RF scanners and basic warehouse management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and documentation.

You will work in a modern, climate-controlled warehouse that offers a supportive environment focused on safety and continuous improvement. When you transition from temporary to permanent status, you receive a pay increase and, after 30 days, a $500 bonus, reflecting a commitment to rewarding strong performance and loyalty. This position is based in a new, approximately 400,000 square foot air-conditioned warehouse facility designed for large-scale distribution operations. The role is primarily on 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with some overtime required as business needs arise. You will work in a climate-controlled environment that includes multi-level storage modules, which require climbing stairs and working at heights. The operation uses power industrial equipment such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts, along with RF scanners and computer-based systems to manage inventory and orders. The work involves frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 40 pounds, and handling cartons and pallets throughout the shift, in a setting that emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organized workflows.

This is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
