Project Manager

Our client is a growing residential construction company specializing in ground-up residential projects throughout the Plymouth, Massachusetts area. The company is known for high-quality work, clear communication, strong project execution, and a customer-first approach. This is an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who wants true ownership of their projects. You will manage each job from pre-construction through final completion, coordinate trades, protect schedule and budget, and serve as the main point of contact for homeowners. This is not a role for someone still learning residential construction. We are looking for someone who has already run ground-up residential projects from start to finish and can confidently walk onto a site, understand what should be happening, and keep the project moving. What You’ll Own Pre-Construction, Drawings & Permitting Review and interpret engineering drawings, septic drawings, site-work drawings, and construction plans. Identify potential issues before they reach the field. Coordinate with architects, engineers, surveyors, and other project partners. Manage the local permitting process from start to finish. Keep approvals, inspections, and required documentation moving on schedule. Identify and resolve site, conservation, wetlands, zoning, and permitting issues as needed. Plan and oversee tree clearing, erosion control, site preparation, and excavation. Manage septic system installation, water-line installation, utilities, and foundation installation. Confirm each phase is completed correctly and ready for inspection before the next phase begins. Ensure site work is performed safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements. Vertical Construction Through Completion Manage framing, roofing, siding, windows, doors, and exterior work. Oversee mechanicals, insulation, drywall, interior finishes, and final punch list. Drive projects through final completion and certificate of occupancy. Hold all trades accountable to quality standards, schedule, and project expectations. Subcontractors, Schedule & Budget Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries, inspections, and site activity. Run each project to the approved budget or better. Protect project timelines and proactively solve issues before they impact completion. Track progress, change orders, photos, documentation, and updates in project-management software. Manage several active projects at once without letting details fall through the cracks. Customer Experience Serve as the homeowner’s main point of contact from kickoff through handoff. Communicate clearly, proactively, and professionally. Set expectations, provide updates, and resolve concerns quickly. Deliver a finished product and customer experience that reflects the company’s standards. Required Experience & Skills Multiple years of demonstrated experience running ground-up residential construction projects from start to finish. Experience managing the full construction lifecycle, including site work, foundation, framing, mechanicals, finishes, punch list, and closeout. Ability to read and interpret engineering, septic, site-work, and construction drawings. Direct working knowledge of local permitting, inspections, and residential construction requirements. Strong understanding of residential construction sequencing and trade coordination. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Strong computer skills, including project-management software, email, spreadsheets, and digital plans. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple active projects at once. Valid driver’s license. Must be comfortable being in the field daily across multiple job sites.
