Associate/Junior Underwriter

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Commercial Insurance Underwriter to support our underwriting team in assessing risk and evaluating commercial insurance applications. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to start or grow their career in the insurance industry. Key Responsibilities Assist in reviewing and analyzing commercial insurance applications, renewals, and endorsements. Gather and verify client information, financials, and risk factors. Work under the guidance of senior underwriters to determine appropriate coverage terms and pricing. Communicate with brokers and clients to obtain missing information or clarify underwriting requirements. Maintain accurate records and documentation in underwriting systems. Stay current with industry trends, underwriting guidelines, and company policies. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Strong analytical and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn underwriting software. A strong interest in risk assessment and commercial insurance. Preferred Previous internship or experience in insurance or financial services is a plus.
