Patient Access Specialist – Front Office Leawood, KS | Full-Time Are you the kind of person who makes people feel welcome the moment they walk through the door? Our busy family practice in Leawood is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to be the face and voice of our clinic. You'll set the tone for every patient visit while making sure the business side of each appointment starts off right. What You'll Do Greet patients warmly and create a positive first impression for every visit Complete a thorough check-in process, including capturing accurate demographic and insurance information Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and financial responsibility before the visit Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances, and explain patient financial obligations clearly and courteously Answer a high volume of incoming calls, schedule appointments, and route messages to the right team members Keep patient records accurate and up to date in the practice management and EHR systems Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA and practice policies Work closely with clinical and billing staff to keep the day running smoothly What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required 1+ year of front office or patient registration experience in a medical setting preferred Working knowledge of insurance verification, eligibility, and benefits (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid) Strong customer service skills and a calm, friendly presence, even on the busiest days Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with data entry Comfort with computers and multi-line phone systems; experience with [EHR/PM system] a plus Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment If you take pride in getting the details right and love helping people, we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr JioMed Family Care
