Assistant General Manager

Wings Over Bonham is looking for a motivated, dependable, and hands-on Assistant General Manager to join our team.

This is more than just a manager position — you’ll be a key part of making sure the restaurant runs smoothly, the team stays motivated, and our guests have a great experience every time they walk through the door.

You’ll work closely with the General Manager to lead the restaurant, develop employees, maintain high standards, and keep the team moving during busy shifts. When the GM isn't there, you'll be one of the key leaders responsible for keeping the restaurant running successfully.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage daily restaurant operations
  
  
• Run opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures
  
  
• Supervise both front-of-house and kitchen team members
  
  
• Coach, train, and develop employees
  
  
• Hold team members accountable to company standards
  
  
• Help create a positive and productive work environment
  
  
• Provide excellent customer service and handle guest concerns professionally
  
  
• Monitor food quality, ticket times, cleanliness, and overall restaurant standards
  
  
• Assist with scheduling and making sure shifts are properly staffed
  
  
• Help control labor, food costs, waste, and inventory
  
  
• Assist with inventory counts, ordering, and receiving deliveries
  
  
• Ensure proper cash-handling procedures are followed
  
  
• Complete required daily checklists and manager paperwork
  
  
• Make sure food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are consistently followed
  
  
• Help the General Manager with hiring, training, and employee development
  
  
• Step in and take charge when the General Manager is not present
  
  
• Lead by example and be willing to jump in wherever the team needs help
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Previous restaurant management or leadership experience preferred
  
  
• Strong communication and leadership skills
  
  
• Someone who can confidently lead a team during busy shifts
  
  
• Dependable, organized, and able to follow through
  
  
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  
  
• Ability to handle customer concerns professionally
  
  
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  
  
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  
  
• Must be willing to work alongside the team — this is a hands-on management position
