Job Summary

The General Manager will direct and manage one of our business units, primarily serving the North American market. The role requires leading a team of leaders to deliver sustainable growth and profitability, managing budget resources, ensuring exceptional customer service, identifying opportunities, and monitoring financial activities.

Key Objectives of the General Manager

• Develop and implement a clear strategic plan with P&L ownership and operational performance.
• Ensure realistic and achievable business forecasts.
• Support existing clients to maximize utilization of deployed solutions and maintain exemplary customer engagement.
• Grow share of wallet through increased solution usage, expanded breadth, and new departmental sales.
• Lead new logo sales goals by targeting qualified opportunities.
• Maintain high staff engagement and performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies to achieve company goals.
• Achieve year‑over‑year organic growth of at least 10% and profitability across the business.
• Plan and lead a detailed growth strategy targeting a 10% CAGR over five years.
• Ensure customer implementations are managed to achieve on‑time delivery and gross margins exceeding 40%.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and reduce attrition.
• Lead and develop all team members, setting SMART goals and monitoring progress.
• Support a healthy internal culture that retains key employees and encourages professional growth.
• Manage accurate financial reporting and participate in quarterly business reviews.
• Provide strategic advice to the Group Leader and keep leadership aware of industry developments.
• Oversee business operations and resources, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Provide effective leadership and line management of direct reports, including talent management processes.
• Recruit and retain the right people to achieve objectives and goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of executive management experience.
• 5 years of experience overseeing complex software solutions.
• Proven track record as a General Manager or COO in an enterprise technology business.
• Strong knowledge of market dynamics that influence company performance.
• Experience developing and implementing effective strategic and business plans.
• Passenger transport industry experience is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
