Chief Financial Officer

The International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to help steward the financial resources of a global movement committed to advancing the Gospel, strengthening churches, and equipping leaders around the world. Rooted in more than a century of Spirit-empowered ministry, IPHC serves in over 100 nations and supports thousands of churches, pastors, missionaries, and ministry leaders who are working to see lives transformed through the hope of Christ. The Chief Financial Officer serves as a key leader within the Global Ministries Center, providing strategic oversight of finance, human resources, information technology, risk management, and administrative services. Partnering closely with the General Superintendent, Finance Committee, and denominational leadership, this leader will help guide financial strategy, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and ensure resources are stewarded with excellence to support ministry impact across the United States and around the world. Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategic Partnership: Serve as a key member of the leadership team, partnering closely with the General Superintendent, Finance Committee, Council of Bishops, and ministry leaders to support the mission, vision, and long‑term strategic priorities of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. Provide thoughtful counsel, financial insight, and organizational leadership that helps position the denomination for continued ministry effectiveness and future growth.

Financial Stewardship and Organizational Health: Provide oversight of the denomination’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, audits, investments, cash management, compliance, and financial planning. Ensure the highest standards of transparency, accountability, and stewardship while helping ministry leaders make informed decisions that align resources with mission priorities.

Administrative Services and Operational Leadership: Lead and develop the teams responsible for finance, accounting, human resources, information technology, and risk management. Strengthen systems, processes, and organizational infrastructure that support operational excellence, employee effectiveness, and long‑term organizational sustainability.

Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance: Partner with the Finance Committee, Executive Committee, and other governing bodies to support effective oversight, financial accountability, risk management, policy development, and strategic decision making. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, audit standards, and organizational policies while maintaining the trust and confidence of key stakeholders.

Leading Through Change and Future Growth: Help guide the organization through an important season of transition, organizational alignment, and future visioning. Support strategic initiatives, organizational improvements, and ministry expansion efforts while preserving the values, relationships, and mission that have shaped IPHC for generations.

Faith Filled Stewardship and Ministry Partnership: Model integrity, humility, wisdom, and servant leadership in all aspects of the role. Approach financial leadership as ministry, recognizing that faithful stewardship enables church planting, leadership development, global missions, discipleship, and Gospel impact throughout the world.

Key Qualifications

Financial Leadership Experience: Ten or more years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably within a denomination, ministry organization, nonprofit, higher education institution, foundation, or similarly complex mission‑driven environment. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required, and an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is strongly preferred. Experience serving as a Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance, Controller, Treasurer, or comparable executive leader is highly valued.

Commitment to Organizational Values and Conduct: Demonstrates a lifestyle, character, and leadership approach consistent with the values, expectations, and standards of conduct outlined by the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. This leader must be able to faithfully represent the denomination, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and serve with integrity, humility, and professionalism in all aspects of leadership.

Strategic Leadership and Governance Experience: Proven ability to partner with executive leaders, governing boards, finance committees, auditors, and external advisors to support organizational strategy, financial stewardship, risk management, and long‑term sustainability. Experience navigating organizational change, restructuring, or complex stakeholder environments is highly valued.

Administrative and Operational Leadership: Experience overseeing and developing teams across finance, accounting, human resources, information technology, risk management, and administrative services. Demonstrated success strengthening systems, building healthy teams, and improving organizational effectiveness.

Relational and Influential Leadership: Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills with the ability to translate complex financial information for diverse audiences.
