Senior Transportation Manager Join a collaborative transportation team where you'll help drive the strategy, performance, and efficiency of a complex freight network. As a Senior Transportation Manager, you'll manage key carrier partnerships, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and work cross-functionally to deliver exceptional service across domestic and international transportation operations. This role can be operated as a remote role, or a hybrid position if you live near our Battle Creek, Michigan Office. A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing Manage strategic partnerships – Serving as the primary point of contact for carrier relationships to ensure a high quality of service, accountability for service errors, and aligning with long term business objectives Operational and financial responsibility – Monitor key service deliverables and perform to financial metrics, both of which have multiple inputs that require strategic planning Lead transportation network optimization – Participating in a yearly process of gathering, scrutinizing, and ultimately selecting carrier partners to work with throughout the following year. Continuing to monitor performance as the year progresses Operational Collaboration - Partner with manufacturing, logistics, and international trade teams to coordinate efficient domestic and cross-border transportation solutions We’re Looking for Someone With H igh school degree with significant years of experience or bachelor’s degree in business administration or a similar field Background in Supply Chain, transportation management, carrier negotiations, warehousing operations, and customer service Experience utilizing software specific to the supply chain optimization Proven project management skills (planning and execution) with supervisory experience Communication skills with the ability to interact with senior management Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task on a regular basis Compensation The annual salary range is $118,930 - $178.395, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available. All applicants must have permanent legal authorization to work in the United States.
