Job Details Job Location: APMEX DOWNTOWN - Oklahoma City, OK 73102 Position Type: Internship Education Level: High School Salary Range: $15.00 - $15.00 Hourly Hours: 8am-5pm About the Role The Numismatic Intern is an entry‑level position for those with an interest in numismatics. The Numismatic Intern is involved in many aspects of the operations of the Numismatic team. Responsibilities Learn how to grade coins and curate coins, including all related processes. Count, sort, curate, research, and evaluate coins. Learn the evaluation process for numismatic, semi‑numismatic, and bullion coins, bars, and other items. Research items received in the Receiving Department daily, assist Numismatic/PM Ops staff in determining their value, and determine whether they should be submitted for third‑party grading or added to inventory. Work with the Numismatic Department to keep products moving quickly from Receiving, through Evaluation, and onto the APMEX website. Spend time learning evaluation processes, improving grading skills, and expanding numismatic knowledge. Curate items to improve their salability. Evaluate bulk coins and currency (90% silver coins, silver dollars, Silver American Eagles, and currency) to perfect grading and evaluation skills. Sort coins and currency by type and grade. Familiarize with the life cycle of products in Evaluation and move them swiftly after full evaluation. Assist Junior Numismatists, Numismatists, and Senior Numismatists with coin and currency projects. Curate products using approved curation methods. Understand the basics of grading coins, currency, and bullion. Qualifications Junior or Senior level, or recent college graduate. Current student with a strong interest in history and/or numismatics. Knowledge of grading numismatic items. Knowledge of authentication of numismatic items. Interest in financial, bullion, or coin industries. Experience working cross‑functionally. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office. Skills with AI are preferred. Benefits Free lunch every day.
