As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help create a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, conducting routine patrols, and responding to security-related concerns. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur03:00 PM - 11:00 PMFri03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, employees, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor and control access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized persons to appropriate areas within the retail location. Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, employee areas, sales-floor access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity. Support a welcoming retail environment by providing clear directions, maintaining professional communication, and documenting security-related activities in accordance with site procedures. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. CPR certification is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
