Exciting opportunity for experienced Paraprofessionals to make a direct impact in a supportive school environment! An immediate contract position is available for a dedicated professional to provide coverage during a leave of absence. This onsite assignment is located in Wilmington, Delaware, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule—35 hours per week, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch period.

In this role, you will collaborate with classroom educators and contribute to student success at the high school level. Your support will be vital in adapting instructional materials, fostering social-emotional growth, and promoting an inclusive learning atmosphere. The assignment is expected to continue through September 21, 2026.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit (required at time of application; pending permits cannot be accepted)
• Experience as a Paraprofessional in a school or educational setting preferred
• Willingness to complete required fingerprinting/background check process and cover associated fee
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Ability to establish rapport with students and work collaboratively with educators
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• If you hold an RBT credential, please note that supervision is not provided; paraeducator credentialing is required

Primary responsibilities:

• Support instructional activities under teacher direction
• Assist in maintaining a safe, structured classroom environment
• Encourage student engagement and participation
• Aid in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
