Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract Position

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

On-call hours vary, typically 16 hours Monday to Friday, except holidays. Saturdays and Sundays are 24-hour shifts.

Job Description

As a Surgical Registered Nurse, you will work independently after department orientation, performing various surgical procedures. This role requires proficiency in areas including general surgery, neuro, spine, orthopedic, urology, eyes, and dental (training provided for eyes and dental). You will be responsible for electronic documentation using MediTech.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in surgical settings.
• Assist in various surgeries, including general, neuro, spine, orthopedic, urology, eyes, and dental.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Operate independently after completing departmental orientation.
• Adhere to safety protocols and nursing standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License.
• Completion of ARN 101 training.
• CAORN certification preferred.
• Knowledge of electronic documentation; MediTech training provided.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
• Reliable transportation is required.
