Title: RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Allen, TX

Duration: 8 Weeks (High possibility of extension)

Schedule: Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts
Shift Timing: 6:30 PM Start Time
Weekend Requirement: As Needed
Holiday Requirement: As Needed

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery to provide comprehensive care for laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients. The RN will monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assist during deliveries, provide patient education, and support newborn care. Candidates must be comfortable floating to the Mother Baby unit when needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery

• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions using appropriate assessment techniques

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

• Assist physicians and healthcare providers during labor and delivery procedures

• Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies

• Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care

• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care

• Float to Mother Baby unit and provide newborn care when required

• Follow hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

• Experience caring for laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and patient education skills

• Active Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous travel nursing experience

• Experience floating between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units

• Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
